Porsche Cayenne GTS - DR

The Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé GTS are a kind of link between the S and Turbo versions. The emission hunt pushes all manufacturers to seek more power from increasingly compact engines. Not here. While the previous Cayenne GTS had a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, its replacement adopted the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the Turbo version, but deflated from 550 to 460 hp. Which is still 20 more than the old GTS.

The 0-100 km / h therefore requires 0.6 seconds less (4.5 seconds with the Sport Chrono package) and the top speed is 270 km / h, or 8 km / h better. Porsche also points out that the recalibration of the gearbox makes it possible to lower consumption, now between 13.1 and 14.1 l / 100 km. Phew, here we are reassured…

Sensations

Beyond the figures, it is especially the sensations that favor the GTS versions. Between the chassis lowered by 20mm, the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus delivered as standard, the specific brakes and other refinements still, the Cayenne GTS wants to be more agile than its brothers of range which, it must say, literally amazed the non-lovers of sports SUV that we are.
