Three major airlines took legal measures today against the British government’s decision that all international travelers arriving in the country should impose self-isolation for a period of 14 days, as part of efforts to address the emerging Corona pandemic.

British Airways, Ryanair and EasyJet called for an urgent legal review of the quarantine law that has "devastating effects on the UK tourism industry and the economy more broadly and is destroying thousands of jobs."

The companies said in a joint statement that "the airlines have not yet seen any evidence on how or when to implement the proposed (air bridges) between Britain and other countries."
The "air bridges" will allow exemptions to allow British tourists to return from countries such as Spain, Portugal and Greece, without the need for self-isolation.
