The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai (Dubai Tourism) said that the requirements of the tourism sector facilities and services in the emirate have been updated, as it allowed them to reopen the internal and external pools in hotel establishments, health and sports clubs, and residential and commercial complexes with the need to preserve the rules of social separation and take precautionary measures and measures Preventive.
The department stated in a circular to it that hotel establishments can open swimming pools and water resorts as well as health clubs and fitness facilities in what prohibits gatherings, parties and events as well as all massage services, spa, sauna and hot tubs as among the activities not included in the circular.
The circular clarified that before reopening, swimming pools should be subjected to deep cleaning as a result of the facility being closed for a long time in order to reduce the risk of disease, noting that water quality testing must be performed before reopening to maintain hygiene and sanitation requirements in accordance with Dubai Municipality’s guidelines, including maintaining On the system of regular cleaning, and water testing, according to the approved standards.
She indicated that the surfaces and common areas that are frequently touched should be cleaned and sterilized once every hour or every after use, and bathrooms and toilets should be cleaned after each use or at least once every hour, providing hand sanitizers in public places, and refraining from sharing elements that Difficult to clean or sterilize.
The circular also stressed ensuring sufficient equipment is available to minimize participation to the maximum extent possible, and training all employees in safety, hygiene and physical spacing protocols, and all staff and visitors must undergo temperature checks before entering the complex.
He explained that visitors and users of the complex should maintain a distance of two meters at all times, while one group can sit together (up to 5 individuals) while maintaining a distance of 4 meters, stressing the need to maintain the capacity standards within the pool by about 4 square meters per person ( Density requirements).
