The relevant person in charge of the Yuncheng Agriculture and Rural Bureau said that the area of wheat cultivation in Yuncheng has decreased this year, but the yield per mu and total output are increasing, mainly due to the improvement of agricultural infrastructure and the application of new technologies.
On the one hand, Yuncheng comprehensively implements irrigation and drainage, land leveling, field roads, construction of drainage and irrigation stations, repair of machine wells, and installation of water-saving pipe irrigation and other projects to improve the level of agricultural infrastructure year by year. It is understood that the wheat harvested area in Yuncheng this year is 4.023 million mu, of which 2.773 million mu is water wheat and 1.25 million mu is dry wheat. The ratio of water wheat to dry land wheat has increased from 3:5 in the past to about 2:1 today, and food production capacity has been greatly improved.
