<Anchor> A

thin, easy-to-breath anti-splash mask was sold out today (8th) in about 10 minutes of sales.

As it is difficult to obtain, there are many people who are wondering how much the supply is and how much it cannot be increased.

<Reporter> The

masks for splash-blocking were all sold out within 10 minutes of online sales.

The two companies sold, but the situation was the same.

There are more than 100,000 masks used to block splashes released on the market today.

Compared to the 9 million pieces of health masks currently supplied as public masks per day, we can see why the supply runs smoothly.

thought I could buy it, but I couldn't pay it, so I had to do more than one later.]

All four companies that have been licensed to produce are producing public masks at the same time, because by the end of this month, the production volume of contracted public masks, or health masks, must be maintained.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (KFDA) explained that nine additional companies are in the process of permitting an anti-splash mask, which could increase the daily supply to 1 million by the end of this month.

[Park Jong-han/President of Mask Maker: If the public volume ends on the end of June, I think we can produce a larger quantity of splash-blocking masks after that.]

However, it is difficult to expect production to increase significantly after July.

It is known that the industry is reluctant to start mass production because there are alternative products such as surgical masks and the selling price is not high.
