In order to ensure the smooth progress of the "Three Summers" work and understand the actual situation of wheat production, on May 31, Henan Shenqiu County Agricultural and Rural Bureau organized an agricultural technology expert group to Shicao, Zhouying, Zhao Deying, Feng Ying, Xingzhuang Wait for the representative wheat fields in 5 towns and villages to conduct field trials and production.
The expert group first came to a wheat demonstration field base in Hutou Village, Shicao Township. "Look, I have golden wheat fields, thick wheat ears, well-proportioned heads, and full grains." Han Liutao, a large grain-growing household in Penyao Village, Zhaodeying Town, planted 1,600 acres of wheat, integrating high-yielding seeds, seed coating, deep soil loosening, soil testing, fertilization, one spray and multiple prevention technologies. "The 1600 acres of land are fully managed by the county's Jinfeng Commune. I acted as a'hands thrower'. Today, the actual production is measured on the spot, and the actual average yield per mu is over a thousand pounds. The results are gratifying!" Han Liutao's joy was overwhelming.
Subsequently, the expert group created a method for measuring and accepting wheat with reference to the high yield of wheat from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas. After strict measurement, mechanical harvesting, threshing, weighing, and deduction of moisture and impurities, the yield per mu was as high as 1442.6 kg. "It has refreshed the county's highest record of high-yield small-area wheat in 2020." Expert Wu Heping said.
The multi-point survey and measurement of the southern part of Shenqiu County through the agricultural expert team showed that the county's wheat area, yield and total output this year showed a trend of "one stable, one increase and double increase", and the yield and total output continued to increase. "After preliminary measurements, the county's wheat output this year is generally higher than in previous years, which is another high-yield year!" said Yang Baoquan, an agricultural expert from the Shenqiu County Agricultural and Rural Bureau.
