Today, the "Interim Provisions on the Regulation of the Number of Passenger Cars in Beijing (Revision Draft for Consultation Draft)" and "Implementation Rules for the Provisional Regulations on the Regulation of the Number of Passenger Cars in Beijing" (Revision Draft for Consultation) were released.
Existing policy stipulates that individuals who need to update indicators for passenger cars should submit an application for updating indicators within 12 months from the date of completion of the transfer and cancellation of registration of the vehicle.
The Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission said that from the perspective of implementation in these years, first, it was due to individual subjective and objective reasons that failed to apply for the update of indicators within the prescribed time limit, causing major losses to individuals; second, many individuals who were not in a hurry to purchase new vehicles, Having to rush to apply for updated indicators before the time limit expires is not conducive to achieving the goal of the regulation policy to slow down motor vehicle growth. Therefore, the policy optimization plan intends to abolish this time limit, so that citizens can arrange the time for applying for updating indicators according to actual needs, and at the same time play a role in reducing the stock of passenger cars, reducing road congestion, parking contradictions and ecological environment pressure.
However, the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission emphasized that once the updated index is applied for, the validity period of the index will remain unchanged for 12 months. (Finish)
