Corona 19 influenced the income gap between the low-income class and the income gap. Clothing and education spending is down, and consumption in the first quarter has declined the most in 17 years.

National Statistical Office's survey, the income growth rate of the quintile households, the lowest 20% of income, was 0% compared to the same period last year.

The government's support increased, but the impact of employment on Corona 19 reduced the number of temporary and daily jobs, resulting in a 3.3% decrease in earned income.

On the other hand, the top 20% of income and quintile income increased 6.3% from last year.

The income quintile multiplier, which represents the difference in income between the first and fifth quintiles, was 5.41 times, 0.23 times larger than the same period last year.

Overall household spending has declined significantly.

Monthly average household expenditure was 3945,000 won, down 4.9% from last year, showing the biggest decline in 17 years since the statistics were prepared in 2003.

Grocery consumption has increased with more time staying at home, while spending has declined significantly in clothing, footwear, entertainment, culture and education.

The average spending tendency, which shows how much money you can spend, fell 7.9 percentage points from last year, making it the lowest in seven years since 2013.

The government predicted that even after April, the declining distribution will continue in the second quarter as the number of temporary workers and temporary workers has decreased.

The government said it would strengthen policy efforts to stabilize the job market, as the main cause of the worsening of income distribution was analyzed as a decrease in employment among low-income people.
