He added that «the design and production of the mask comes in the framework of efforts to provide additional safety conditions for medical personnel, who are in direct contact with the injured, as the masks provide an additional layer of protection for health professionals working in medical centers across the Emirates.

For his part, head of the design department at the Engineering Union, Ahmed Abdel-Qader Al-Raja’i, said, “The new face mask was specially designed for the medical crews in the country, and there is no current approach to use it for travelers.”
