Amazon's distribution centers reopen this Tuesday morning in France. The six centers had been closed since April 16, after French justice ordered the company to improve the sanitary measures in its warehouses.

It is a gradual recovery plan over three weeks, approved by the unions and on the basis of employee volunteering.

100% of the workforce by June 3

From this Tuesday, only a third of the 10,000 workers and temporary workers will return to work. Next week, Amazon management and unions have agreed to a 50-80% takeover. All employees are expected to return by June 3. The unions remain vigilant, however, regarding the new working conditions.

"Risk prevention is not limited to putting on scotch tape, gloves, masks and gel," Europe Proponent Harold CGin, deputy CGT from Amazon, points out. All the measures that have been implemented imply a modification of the working conditions of the employees. This has an impact on their mental and psychological state and, so far, it has not been sufficiently taken into account by management. "
