Among the tourism players hard hit by the coronavirus crisis are outdoor hotel professionals. The campsites remain closed despite the deconfinement, while the beaches are gradually reopening and the shops are welcoming customers again. This situation is incomprehensible for many. Several camping bosses ask that they be trusted, and insist on their ability to reorganize their establishments to integrate the new health precaution rules.

The film Camping was filmed at the Dune campsite in the Arcachon Basin , but behind the cinematographic window, Franck Couderc, the owner of the place, does not hide his concern while the deconfinement seems to leave aside a whole section of the tourism economy. This professional believes that reopening is possible, with all health guarantees. "There are different corridors in the sanitary blocks, you can install one shower in two," he cites as an example. "The plots are 100m2, which makes it possible to determine the location where the camper's tent will be installed, so that the camper is far from its neighbor."

Contactless holidays

An observation shared, a few kilometers further, Jérôme Thevenot, the owner of the Arcachon Nature campsite.
