Abu Dhabi Poultry Farms Company increased its production capacity to 100% in all of its farms, with the aim of providing table eggs and fresh chicken to the local market, as part of its measures to reduce the effects of the emerging Corona Virus (COFED-19) on this sector, and to counter the global measures that accompanied this pandemic.

The Chairman of the Bin Butti Group, Sheikh Hamid bin Khadem Al Hamid, told Emirates Today that the company began early on communicating with all of its partners around the world to provide "hatching eggs" and the materials needed for production, in order to reach productive capacity To 100% on all of the company's farms.

He added: "We faced many difficulties to provide (hatching eggs) from all our partners around the world, given the policies that most countries followed during this pandemic, as they tended to discharge their products only in their local markets, without exporting."

He stressed that, despite these obstacles and challenges, it was agreed with some companies working in this field, to provide our requirements and operate the hatchery plant with its maximum capacity, and all the wards that were closed earlier, were prepared and sterilized with their maximum capacity.

Quality of nutrition

He referred to the status and distribution of 60 thousand chicks in the "Acacia Poultry Farm", 60 thousand chicks in the "Al Fakher Poultry Farm", and 180 thousand chicks in the "Abu Dhabi Modern Poultry Farm".

He emphasized that "Abu Dhabi Poultry Farms" is concerned mainly with the quality and quality of nutrition that depends on pure plant products only, without any other additives, as well as the use of the best medicines from natural plant derivatives licensed and approved by the competent authorities within the state.

Sheikh Hamed bin Khadem continued: “We also increased the production of table eggs in (Abu Dhabi Poultry Farm), through the rapid rotation of herds, to obtain more than 15 million eggs in this period, in order to contribute to efforts to bridge any deficit or shortage in the production of table eggs. , Or fresh chicken in the market, controlling prices at such a critical stage.

He stressed that there is clear coordination in this regard with many poultry farms within the state, as the development of this vital sector, the increase of local production of poultry products, the increase in the number of production wards, and the farms of chicks and laying mothers, are urgent targets at this stage, to achieve the goal of localization The entire production cycle in the Emirates.
