The Galician businessman and president of the Inveravante corporation, Manuel Jove , died this morning at his home in A Coruña, after a year of fighting a long illness "against which he has fought hard, true to his character," according to informed the business corporation.

Manuel Jove, born in A Coruña in 1941, was married with two children. In 2002 his eldest daughter, María José, passed away and in his memory, in 2003, he created the María José Jove Foundation that works in favor of childhood and inclusion.

Manuel Jove could be defined as "a great entrepreneur, a tireless worker, with an excellent vision for business , and a person loyal to his own, to his team," as highlighted by the corporation.

Of humble origin, the beginnings of Manuel Jove Capellán were in the carpentry workshop that his father had in A Coruña, where he started working when he was 11 years old. The entrepreneurial spirit came to him very soon and, at 19, he decided to become independent and open his own workshop with his brother.

In the early 1970s, he founded the real estate company Fadesa . In just 25 years, the company he chaired went from being a local company to one of the world's leading real estate companies. In 2007 Manuel Jove sold the company and undertook new projects and investments through the Inveravante corporation.

Based in A Coruña, Inveravante is a private and family-owned corporation, founded in 2007 in A Coruña. It develops its activity from Galicia in the real estate, hotel, select agri-food products and energy sectors and is present in Spain, Morocco, Mexico, Brazil, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Romania. It has more than 800 direct jobs and two vice-presidents: Felipa Jove and Manuel Ángel Jove.
