Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Jae-Yong Lee (6th) is planning to apologize directly to the public regarding the succession of management rights and union issues.

Vice Chairman Lee is known to accept the recommendations of the Samsung Compliance Commission and to issue an apology at 3 pm this afternoon.

Vice President Lee directly apologized to the public only five years after apologizing for the responsibility of Samsung Seoul Hospital during the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome and MERS in June 2015.

On March 11th, the Samsung Compliance Officer advised Vice Chairman Lee to apologize to the public with his reflection on suspicion of succession of management rights and union issues.

The first deadline for the public apology was on the 10th of last month, but it was extended to the 11th of this month as Samsung asked for an extension of the recommendation due to the spread of Corona19, which took longer than expected.

Earlier, in August of last year, Samsung apologized for "I will be faithful to the role of the company to prevent recurring mistakes" in August last year. We have apologized for this.
