Rural tourism, surrounding tourism and other short-distance tourism have gradually become popular. Many local governments have “spreading” various types of consumption vouchers and coupons, spurring shopping and consumption of cultural tourism, which has heated up the cultural tourism market.

  During the "May Day" holiday, Fujian Province received a total of 11.53111 million tourists, reaching 66.3% of last year's "May Day" holiday; realizing tourism revenue of 8.306 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), returning to 61.4% of the same period last year.

  From the Huangpu River Bund to Longhua in Shanghai, known as the "Water Nanjing Road", during the "May Day", a total of 3498 sailing ships were sailed, including 211 cruise ships and 13,148 passengers. The average daily passenger flow for the Qingming holiday quadrupled.

  In Tianjin, the total number of tourists received during the holidays was 1.665 million, which was restored to 37.3% year-on-year; the comprehensive tourism income was 654 million yuan, which was restored to 59.5% according to a comparable caliber.

  Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism disclosed on the 6th that during the "May Day" holiday, the province received 10.6 million domestic tourists, with a tourism income of 6.54 billion yuan, which respectively recovered to 64% and 60% of the "May Day" holiday of the previous year.

  Consumer vouchers are more significant for the growth of western China, northeast China and other regions. Among the provincial capitals and municipalities in China, Urumqi, Changchun, and Xining ranked the top three in terms of year-on-year growth rate, and 7 out of the top 10 cities Alipay consumer coupons.

  According to Alipay data, 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China have achieved year-on-year growth in consumption, and Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Qinghai have even achieved a year-on-year growth of more than 60%. As of May 6, more than 100 municipal (district) governments in nearly 30 places such as Chongqing and Zhejiang chose to issue consumer coupons through the Alipay platform. During the "May Day" holiday, Alipay consumer coupons directly boosted consumption by nearly 5 billion yuan.

  In addition, the Guizhou provincial government directly subsidized 50 million yuan for the first phase of consumer coupons issued by the Guizhou government through the "Colorful Treasure App". According to the statistics of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, during the “May Day”, Jiangsu ’s consumer goods market achieved cumulative sales of about 4.97 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%.

  Ctrip data shows that the number of transportation travel orders (including air tickets, train tickets, bus tickets, and car use) increased from April 30 to May 5 compared with the previous week. Self-driving tours, intra-provincial tours, and short-distance tours have become the main choices. "May Day" Ctrip car rental orders, even a 10% increase over the same period last year.

  Wang Xiaosong, chairman of Donkey Mom Travel Network, observed that residents of the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other places have the highest enthusiasm for this May 1 holiday.
