The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, said in a meeting today, Tuesday, that the state will provide free accommodation in university cities (hostels of university students) and young people returned to Egyptians returning from abroad during the 14-day quarantine period. On April 2, Egyptian media reported that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi decided that the Viva Egypt fundraising fund would pay the cost of staying Egyptians returning from abroad in hotels during the quarantine period.
The Ministry of Tourism, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, has allocated a number of hotels and tourist villages in Marsa Alam in the southern Red Sea to receive Egyptians returning from abroad to subject them to quarantine to ensure that they are free of the Corona virus.
In a statement, the cabinet quoted Madbouly as saying that there is coordination between Egypt and Kuwait to return Egyptians stuck there and that Egyptian planes started their return flights today.


Sources at Cairo Airport said that an EgyptAir plane left this morning Tuesday for Kuwait at the beginning of an air bridge to return the thousands of Egyptians stranded there.
The sources said that the returning Egyptians will be transferred to some university cities to spend the quarantine period as a precautionary measure to confront the Corona virus.


The statement quoted Madbouly as saying: "The state has made many arrangements to accommodate the large numbers returning to its homeland, especially with the Ministry of Health and Population stressing the necessity of isolating all returnees from abroad to ensure that they are not infected with the emerging coronavirus."


The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Atef Abdel Fattah, said during the meeting that directives were issued to the Egyptian embassies and consulates in the countries where they are stuck to determine their numbers and those who wish to reside in hotels in the coastal city of Marsa Alam in the Red Sea Governorate at their expense during the prescribed quarantine period.
