A batch of infrastructure construction projects in China made significant progress

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, May 1st (Reporter Qi Zhongxi) With the arrival of the “May 1st” International Labor Day, a number of infrastructure projects in China have made significant progress.

On the 1st, the construction of the Zhang Jihuai Railway, a national key project for targeted poverty alleviation in Hunan's Xiangxi region, ushered in an important node. The first longest tunnel in the whole line, which is undertaken by China Railway Tunnel Bureau Group, is the completion of Jishou Tunnel, laying a foundation for the operation of the whole line next year.

The Zhangjihuai Railway has a total length of 246.6 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It starts from Zhangjiajie City in the north, passes through Jishou City, connects with Huaihua City in the south, and connects the Qianzhang-Zhangchang Railway, Jiao Liu Line, Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, and Huai-Shaoheng Railway. After it is opened to traffic, the time from Huaihua to Zhangjiajie will be shortened from about 3.5 hours to about 1 hour.

In Shandong, the substation of the northern section of the Qingdao Metro Line 1 was successfully delivered, achieving the goal of "Electrical Connectivity" and providing power guarantee for subsequent comprehensive commissioning and other work.

According to Zhang Yongxiang, project leader of China Railway Electrification Bureau Group, Qingdao Metro Line 1 is about 60 kilometers in length, all of which are underground lines. In order to ensure the quality of construction, the technicians used integrated CNC testing instruments to accurately position the metal base of the contact rail, so that the error was controlled within 2 mm.

In Guangxi, the Liucun tunnel, one of the most difficult tunnels to be constructed by the Nanning-Chongzuo railway constructed by the China Railway 14th Bureau Group, has overcome major difficulties one after another, and ran out of the "acceleration" of digging and made significant progress.

According to Zhou Shengli, chief engineer of the project of China Railway 14th Bureau Group Shield Corporation, Liucun Tunnel has a total length of 5725 meters, of which the shield section is 4006 meters long. The tunnel is constructed with a mud-water balance shield machine with an excavation diameter of 12.86 meters. The tunnel passes through 6 railways, 6 municipal roads, and many building groups, and the risk of digging is extremely high. Construction personnel give full play to the professional advantages of large-diameter shield construction, while optimizing the construction organization to achieve safe and efficient construction.
