Major department store Selling vegetables and fruits with drive-through New Corona April 29, 16:21

In order to ease the congestion at the food department, a major department store has begun an initiative to sell vegetables and fruits through a drive-through method.

This initiative started at Takashimaya, which continues to operate the food department. Customers can book their products by phone the day before and can go to the parking lot of the department store by car to receive the pre-packaged products.

There are 40 types of products sold, including vegetables and fruits. At stores in Chiba prefecture, customers received the products in their cars.

The woman in her 60s who used the service said, “I'm waiting for the cashier so I can't wait in line, so it's helpful.”

Akihiro Takada, manager of the Takashimaya Kashiwa store, said, "We want to create an environment where customers can shop safely and safely while the customer's consciousness and behavior are changing drastically."

A similar initiative has begun at the Okayama store, and will continue while the department store is temporarily closed.
