The main supermarket chains in the country already sell face masks in their stores. Carrefour, Dia and Lidl have announced it . In this way, they aim to respond to the current peak in demand for this coronavirus protection product.

Carrefour was the first chain to announce it. It did this weekend. Dia has done the same today. In its case, it puts masks on sale through its website from Thursday the 30th. Thanks to its online sales service, mask packs will be available in more than 500 Spanish towns.

The company has included this product among its commercial offer "in order to respond to the

needs of the current population, derived from the coronavirus pandemic. " Consumers will be able to purchase the masks in boxes of 50 units for 30 euros including VAT, that is, at 0.60 euros per unit, " the same price that the company will pay for they to their suppliers, since it is about offering a service to their clients and not obtaining an economic benefit, "says the company.

Lidl

Lidl has also decided to incorporate the sale of disposable protective masks into its offer. As of Tuesday, they can already be purchased in a pack of 50 units at a price of 29.99, at 0.60 a unit, "one of the most competitive prices on the market", the chain presumes in a statement.

These are single-use masks that have the appropriate approvals. The first units will be on sale from this afternoon in Barcelona and from Thursday they will also be available in Madrid. Lidl will gradually incorporate this new article in the rest of its 600 establishments in the country.

Carrefour

Carrefour was the first chain to announce the sale of disposable masks. You sell them since last Saturday in all their centers in Madrid. The company has included this product in its regular assortment "to guarantee its availability and contribute to the safety of its customers".

They are sold in boxes of 10 units at a price of 8.90 euros , with no purchase limit. They are non-reusable hygienic, have a filtration efficiency of 95%, very good breathability and are indicated for adults and children from 12 years old.
