(Fighting against New Crown Pneumonia) Private Enterprise Breakthrough: TCL Founder and Chairman Li Dongsheng: The epidemic accelerated to show industry reshuffle

China News Agency, Wuhan, April 28 (Reporter Liang Ting) Li Dongsheng, vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, founder and chairman of TCL, said in an interview with a China News Agency reporter in Wuhan on the 27th that the epidemic will accelerate the display of industry reshuffle. Global market demand has declined in stages, and the overall market supply-demand ratio will continue to improve.

"We believe that the global market will slowly return to normal in the third quarter." Li Dongsheng believes that the impact of the epidemic is short-lived and phased. In the long run, competitive enterprises still have opportunities for development.

Li Dongsheng said that in the process of restructuring the global industry of the display industry, Chinese companies will have a leading advantage in the large-size LCD (liquid crystal display) industry, especially in small and medium sizes, especially OLED (organic light-emitting diode), QLED (quantum dot light-emitting diode) In terms of the new display technology of MiniLED, Chinese and Korean companies will compete.

"At present, Korean companies have a certain leading edge in these new technology fields, but I think this lead can be surpassed." Li Dongsheng said that at present, Samsung accounts for more than 80% of the market in the flexible OLED field, and Chinese companies must catch up in this field. Korean companies still need a lot of effort. The advantages of Chinese enterprises are the obvious comparative advantages of the entire manufacturing industry, high efficiency, good industrial structure, and low structural costs. In the field of large-scale display, Chinese companies will continue to grow their global market share.

Wuhan Optics Valley is China's largest R & D and manufacturing base for small and medium size panels. At present, TCL Huaxing has built two world-class panel lines in Optics Valley: t3 line is the first 6th generation LTPS (low temperature polysilicon) small and medium-sized display panel production line in China, accounting for 20% of global production capacity; t4 line is the 6th generation Flexible AMOLED display panel production line, focusing on flexible screens. So far, the two panel production lines have maintained stable production.

Li Dongsheng said frankly that the competitive situation facing Wuhan Huaxing this year is severe and affected by many factors around the world. Whether it is China or the world, the demand for mobile phones is declining. Wuhan Huaxing mobile phone panels accounted for 70% of the main production capacity, facing greater pressure. He said that he will expand the market through product innovation and technological innovation. For example, he said that LTPSLCD has many obstacles to make fingerprints under the screen, and the commercialization of fingerprints under the OLED screen is easier to achieve. At the same time, in terms of product structure, the development of medium-sized markets, such as computer monitors and car monitors, is the future direction of development.

Talking about the economic development of Wuhan after the epidemic, Li Dongsheng is full of confidence. He introduced that this year the Wuhan flexible AMOLED factory will have the second-phase capacity expansion, and the third-phase capacity expansion will be carried out by the end of the year, and some supporting industries have already launched the surrounding layout. He revealed that this year he also plans to establish a new air-conditioning plant in Dongxihu District of Wuhan to increase production capacity. (Finish)
