The grandchild of the famous horse Deep Impact is born for the first time in Shin-Hidaka-cho, Hokkaido April 27, 21:02

At the agricultural high school in Shin-Hidaka, Hokkaido, which is known as a horse-producing area, the grandson of Deep Impact, a famous horse representing Heisei who died in July last year, was born for the first time.

Shizunai Agricultural High School in Shin-Hidaka Town has been the only country in Japan for about 20 years to incorporate thoroughbred breeding into its classes.

What was born this time is a grand horse, a grandson of Deep Impact, a famous horse of Heisei who has achieved three unbeaten classics in horse racing and produced many GI horses as stallion horses.

In high school, a ranch graduate graduated donated a deep-impact horse, Himama, and on the 19th of this month, the long-awaited foal was born.

In the breeding fence, the foal snuggled up to the mother and walked and suckled.

The high school was temporarily closed due to the new coronavirus, so the students could not attend the birth, but they are looking forward to attending the school and meeting the foal.

Shizuuchi Agricultural High School's Shinobu Kobayashi said, “I'm aiming for next year's auction. I want students to learn how to breed and grow up with horses.”
