government said that it would induce voluntary donations instead of giving grants to all the people, not 70% of the total. The government's idea is to return 150,000 won from the year-end settlement to those who don't apply for the grant at all or donated with 1 million won.

Reporter Hwagang Yoon will explain the details.

There are three types of donations to disaster donations.

You can indicate your willingness to donate from the time you first apply.

The government builds a system to donate at the same time as the application.

There is also a way to donate money back to a government-funded account once you receive the grant.

You can also choose to donate yourself and donate only a portion of the grant.

A donation from a person who has not made the application itself may be considered as a donation.

In this case, it is necessary to review the budget for disaster relief funds for other purposes, so a legal review is necessary.

[Kim Woo-cheol / Professor, Department of Taxation, Seoul National University: Can the government consider the insoluble budget as a donation? That's not it. However, it is possible by enacting the law, especially.] The

government will devise a special law to clarify the legal basis for collecting and using donations.

We decided to give tax benefits to the amount donated to induce donations. It means that, like other donations, it will provide 15% of the donation tax credit to earned income earners, and business income earners such as self-employed people will be able to deal with necessary expenses.

For those who exceeded this year's donation limit, we decided to take action to make it possible to carry forward the deduction within 10 years.

The collected donations were returned to the Employment Insurance Fund to be used to stabilize workers' lives or create urgent jobs.
