The Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai decided to allow about 28 different sectors to partially carry out its activities during the month of Ramadan, as part of the first stage of the plan to return the business to the emirate, and in accordance with specific preventive and health measures.

The committee’s decision is in line with the decisions of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, to partially reduce the restrictions on movement restrictions in the Emirate of Dubai, starting from Friday, April 24 this year, to coincide with the blessed month of Ramadan.

The committee pointed out that men and women salons will be allowed to open their doors to provide barber services, hairdressing and manicure only, according to the system of pre-booking appointments with commitment to preventive and health measures. Stressing that the sectors authorized to operate included:
• shopping malls
• shops
• open markets
• pharmacies
• financial services
• restaurants and cafes (except for buffets and shisha delivery)
• food
services
delivery services
social care services • maintenance and repair
services • washing services Cleaning clothes
• Salons and hairdressers (with appointments only)
• Health services (hospitals and clinics)
• Food outlets
• Supply chains for services and basic commodities
• Manufacturers and suppliers of medical materials and equipment  
• Industrial sectors
• Electricity, water, gas and cooling stations
• Communications
• Media
• Ports, airports, freight and airlines  
• Customs and border outlets
services • Public and private security services
• Municipal services (sanitation, waste), and public and private cleaning services
• Public transportation: includes taxis, buses and metro
• Construction works
• Hotels
• Administrative headquarters of companies and institutions

The committee also decided to postpone the opening of mosques due to the great spatial convergence between worshipers, which would expand the chances of transmission of infection. The committee also prohibited congregational prayer in public places, as congregational prayer and Tarawih prayers are permissible at home, provided that the worshipers are members of the same family residing in the same place.
