Emirates Airlines said it plans to operate passenger services to Jakarta, Taipei, Chicago, Tunisia, Algeria and Kabul, in addition to the flights that have recently started operating to London and Frankfurt.

The carrier added in a press statement today that these flights will facilitate the travel of visitors and residents who wish to return to their countries.

These trips can be booked directly via emirates.com or through travel agents. Only citizens of the destination and those who meet the entry requirements will be allowed to board the plane, as they must meet the requirements and conditions of entry to the country they are traveling to.

With work resuming to more destinations, the carrier said it had restarted all passenger flights from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. All travelers must follow all health and safety procedures approved by the authorities in the United Arab Emirates and the country of destination.

It indicated that, in the current circumstances, the customers will not have some of the usual services, such as travel procedures, seat selection via the Internet, car service with a driver, and a private lounge service in any of the destinations.

Emirates will also apply a modified service program to these flights to comply with health and safety regulations, and there will be no publications available on the aircraft. While food and beverages will continue to be provided to passengers, Emirates Airlines will strive to avoid contact with crew members and passengers during service, through modified procedures for packing and packaging meals and serving drinks in their original packages. The car service will be suspended temporarily with a driver, as will the private lounges at the airport.

Passengers will not be allowed on hand luggage on planes, except for the laptop, personal handbag and baby stuff bag. Each passenger will be added 7 kilograms at the permitted rate for placing his hand luggage with his bags on the cargo hold.

She said that passengers must wear their own masks and gloves during the trip, starting from the stage of operating procedures for traveling on the counters, and they should reach Building 3 to finish the procedures three hours before their flight departure times.

"All the aircraft will be subject to extensive cleaning and sterilization operations upon their return to Dubai after each flight," she added
