In March, Beijing's food prices fell by 2.4% month-on-month, which was the main factor driving the March CPI decline of 0.7%. Among them, the price of fresh vegetables fell by 15.7% month-on-month due to the rebound in temperature and increased production; the supply of eggs was sufficient, and the price fell by 4.3%; the prices of aquatic products and pork fell by 0.9% and 0.2% respectively; and the price of fresh melons and fruits increased by 0.3%.

Speaking of changes in pork prices, relevant people in the Beijing Xinfadi market analyzed that the average daily listing of pork in March this year fell by more than 40% from the average of the past five years. Although pork prices have fallen from February this year, they are still significantly higher than the same period last year. It is expected that as the temperature rises, production capacity and demand will gradually recover, pork prices will fluctuate downward, and will steadily decline.

The data also shows that in March, Beijing's non-food prices fell by 0.3% month-on-month. Among them, due to the impact of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, the demand for travel has weakened and the price of air tickets has dropped by 34.3% month-on-month.
