The "Union Cooperative" department stated that it will extend its working hours and shopping at its outlets from next Sunday in preparation for the month of Ramadan, to become between 7 am and midnight, instead of the current appointments that end at eight in the evening.


The Director of Marketing and Happiness Department at the Union Cooperative, Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki told Emirates Today that “the new dates, which were taken in coordination with the competent authorities in Dubai, will allow consumers to purchase their Ramadan requirements at separate times throughout the day without the need To be subject to congestion at the outlets within the framework of the cooperative’s commitment to apply standards for safe distances between shoppers in the face of the spread of the "emerging" Corona virus infection.


He added that "the new dates that will be announced at the outlets are scheduled to be implemented until further notice," noting that "extending the work in an additional manner during the first days of the month of Ramadan will be under study in the framework of monitoring demand rates in line with consumer needs and conforming to safety and public health standards ".
