His Highness continued: “We are fortunate with this strong support from the owners, and we must continue to follow all ongoing initiatives to manage costs during this period of uncertainty.” He added, “When market conditions permit, we will strive to grow again and provide maximum value to our shareholders.”


His Highness stated, "Despite its severe impact, Dnata will not get new capital, as the structure of its international business differs from that of the airline, and the executive management has already taken the necessary measures to protect its operations and maintain cash during this period, and these measures include benefiting One of the local government support packages in every country the company operates. "


And His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum stated that, "Meanwhile, the freight teams in both (Emirates Airlines) and (dnata) have been working continuously in light of the high demand for air freight around the world," noting that "(Emirates Airlines It operated 160 flights last week to transport essential goods to the UAE and around the world using the cargo fleet, "in addition to some of the 777-300ER planes whose lower wards are designated for shipment."


"We have received approval from the UAE authorities to transport passengers for limited trips initially to London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Brussels and Zurich," he added, noting that "stringent travel restrictions are still in effect at these destinations as well as in the UAE, and therefore we will currently travel for those who wish to return to Their homelands, and the return of Emirati citizens to the state. "


His Highness stressed: "We work in cooperation and coordination with the authorities to expand our services, with no compromise at all in the safety and health of our customers and crews at all stages of the trip, and we will continue to monitor the situation."


He pointed out that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide has finally exceeded one million, in addition to tackling the enormous health and social challenges, countries around the world are continuing their efforts to mitigate the economic damage of this epidemic with various stimulus and relief measures.


And His Highness pointed out that the proposal to postpone the Expo 2020 Dubai for a year, would allow the participants to focus their resources on dealing with the immediate crisis of COVID-19, and return again completely in 2021, pointing out that the date change is awaiting official approval by the International Exhibition Office.


He added: "We will have to review our program for (Expo) activities as soon as new dates are announced - and this includes work on the Emirates Pavilion, which has been almost completed," stressing that the Emirates Group, Dubai and the United Arab Emirates will remain fully committed to the "Expo" that will bring together the world Together in Dubai.
