In the case of express trains, the “Odoriko” decreased by about 55%, the “Azusa” and “Kaiji”, and the “Fuji circuit” decreased by about 50%.

In response to this, during the major holidays, the release of reserved seats for Shinkansen, limited express trains, and special express trains from May 1 to 6 will be postponed for the time being.

There are 502 Shinkansens to postpone and 223 limited express and express trains.

JR East states, "We will consider whether or not to release based on future customer use and reservation status."
