A group of government institutions and public benefit societies have initiated community contributions totaling 52 million dirhams in support of the efforts made to overcome the global crisis linked to the spread of the Corona virus emerging "Covid-19", and to reinforce the efforts of health and educational institutions in particular to overcome this difficult stage.


The financial and in-kind initiatives and contributions come within the framework of cohesion between all components of the UAE society and at all official and popular levels in this current period.


The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai provided an amount of eight million dirhams and an ambulance to face the repercussions of the "Corona" virus in support of the precautionary measures and the preventive measures taken to combat the virus.


Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, Counselor Ibrahim Boumelha, announced the contribution of the Foundation in the amount of seven million dirhams and to participate in covering the cost of equipment required to be available in various fields and sectors.


The value of the contributions made by the Dar Al Ber Society reached 19 million dirhams, including 12 million provided by an Emirati family group to purchase advanced ambulances equipped with the latest technologies and other medical equipment, in order to enhance the capabilities of the Dubai Ambulance Services Corporation, in addition to seven million dirhams, allocated to support The medical section.
For its part, Beit Al Khair Association provided 10 million dirhams to enhance the capabilities of some sectors, particularly the health sector.


Tariq Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares, also announced the provision of five million dirhams, a contribution from the Foundation in providing 3,200 computers, to enhance the distance learning process, in coordination with the Dubai Educational Zone.


The Dubai Charity Society had its contribution to support efforts to prevent and mitigate the repercussions of the crisis resulting from the spread of the "Corona" virus emerging around the world by providing an amount of three million dirhams in support of the competent authorities.
