[Explanation] The donkey is mostly used as a powerful animal in rural areas. In Xinzhai Township, Dangchang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, donkeys "leave their jobs" on cultivated land, and "uphill" has become a "baby donkey" for villagers to bid farewell to their poor lives.
Xinzhai Township has many deep mountain canyons and less arable land. In particular, under the jurisdiction of Mingshangwan Village, it is located in a high mountain, with poor conditions, and most of the poor households. Such a "downcast" mountain village has regained its vitality due to the breeding of donkeys, and has even become a hot topic after the local people have a meal.
In late March, a reporter from the China News Agency visited Xinzhai Township, Dangchang County, to explore the reasons for the change. In the blue breeding plant, Wang Gaocheng, a villager in Mingshangwan Village who is over sixty years old, carries feed on his shoulders and feeds donkeys. He never thought that the donkey, which had been mainly cultivated land, not only gave him an extra income, but even the entire village could enjoy this bonus.

The villages and mountains on our side are deep, the local conditions are poor, and the land is small. (As early as one or two decades), if the transportation is not convenient, all are donkeys, mules, building a house, picking up a brick, picking up sand, and living (materials) are going up from below (mountain).

In 2018, based on the national precision poverty alleviation policy, coupled with the tradition of free-range donkeys for each household in the village, after market research, the Xinzhai Township Government integrated funds for poverty alleviation, set up cooperatives, and began to develop a "donkey to get rich" approach.

Why do we want to catch the donkey up the mountain? The main reason is that we chose this place. There are no villages on all sides. From the perspective of environmental protection. The second is ventilation. If the circle is too tight, it will be prone to disease. Therefore, it is built in a place with good ventilation and light, far from the village.
[Explanation] There are five donkey pens in Xinzhai Township, and the villager Wang of Xinjiashi Village jumps to work in a pen at the foot of the mountain. In her opinion, these are "baby donkeys", which will allow her to earn a steady salary of 3,500 yuan per month for family daily expenses.
[Explanation] Xinzhai Township is one of the few villages and towns with the worst natural conditions in Dangchang County, and the task of poverty alleviation is also very heavy. There are 20 poverty-stricken villages and 15 poverty-stricken villages. The incidence of poverty is 57%. According to the local government's measures to adapt to local conditions, a variety of rich people's industries such as donkeys, peppers, and peppers have been cultivated. As of the end of 2019, the incidence of poverty has dropped to 4.29%.
