The Lebanese Ministry of Public Works and Transport said today that it has been decided that Beirut International Airport will remain closed to all private and commercial flights until April 12, extending the closure that started this month due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.
The airport will remain open only to military aircraft, flying ambulances, diplomatic delegations ’flights, delegations of international organizations, and oil and gas exploration workers.
Lebanon recorded 391 cases of Corona virus infection and seven deaths. Lebanon extended the closure yesterday in the country until April 12, and announced tougher measures that included preventing people from leaving their homes and closing almost all companies.
