The president of MSC Cruises in Spain and businessman closely linked to the Spanish tourism sector, Emiliano González, has died of coronavirus at 69 years of age. He was the highest representative of the tourist company in Spain.

Born in Madrid in 1951, González studied the Director of Tourism Companies at the Official School of Tourism of Madrid. His professional career has always been linked to tourism. He began his career in 1967, in the historic Viajes CHAT (Hispanic American Tourism Company), where he remained until 1980.

González held different Management positions in Viajes Icab, Viajes Atlanta, Viajes Vincit and Viajes Mapfre, thus adding a total period of 35 years linked to travel agencies. In 2017 it was named by the president cruise company for the Spanish market. He entered the structure of MSC Cruises in 2002, as commercial director. In 2004, he assumed the General Management of the company in Spain and was in charge of it for 13 years.

In September 2017, he was named President. He assumed the direction of institutional affairs and collaborated with the strategic positioning and investment development of MSC Cruises.
