China News Agency, Beijing, March 25th (Xia Bin) The Barley Network United Lighthouse Research Institute released a report on the 25th that the box office of Chinese performances in 2019 entered the 20 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) mark, an increase of 7.29% year-on-year, and the box office The growth rate catches up with the movie market.

The report believes that, overall, the Chinese performance market has boomed in the past year, with theaters, concerts, and travel performances going hand in hand at the box office, forming a tripartite posture. In terms of box office contribution, the performance of tourism shows the fastest growth in 2019, with a year-on-year increase of 9.58%. Box office revenue was 7.379 billion yuan, directly approaching the theater's 8.403 billion yuan, and concert box office revenue was 4.259 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.88%.

At the same time, the trend of "younger" consumer market structure is obvious, showing the characteristics of "low frequency, high unit price, stable output", and "cross-city performance" has become the new normal.

In terms of performance costs, the report shows that the average per capita investment in a concert is 1,525 yuan, followed by a musical, with an average expenditure of 1280 yuan.

The report also pointed out that at present, the performance city "sinks" still needs motivation. The data shows that in the distribution of ticket purchase users in performance cities in 2019, the proportion of first-tier and second-tier cities is 76%, and that of third-tier and fourth-tier cities is only 24%, while this figure is 25% in 2018. In other words, third-tier and fourth-tier cities in 2019 The proportion of ticket purchases did not rise but fell.

In addition, the proportion of movie ticket users in third and fourth tier cities last year was 35%. It is not difficult to find that compared with the movie market, live performances are still extremely dependent on the first and second tier markets, and the road of market sinking needs to be further developed.
