The metropolis of Lyon announced Friday to create an emergency fund of 100 million euros for companies affected by the containment measures, allowing in particular the payment of aid of 1,000 euros per month for some self-employed.

In March and April, freelancers, auto-entrepreneurs and VSEs in Greater Lyon eligible for the state solidarity fund will receive 1,000 euros per month, in addition to the 1,500 euros promised by the government, she said in a press release.

30,000 companies could benefit

This concerns for example the restaurants and bars which had to close. The metropolis, headed by David Kimelfeld, estimates that 30,000 companies could benefit from it and does not rule out extending the measure in May and June.

Other measures are taken such as the suspension of rents by companies housed in the heritage of the community, such as business incubators.
