The UAE also ranked first in the "sanitation quality" index in the Global Talent Competitiveness Index 2019 issued by INSEAD in France.

The country achieved 100% in the index of access to sanitation services as part of the prosperity index for the year 2019 issued by Legatem Institute in the United Kingdom.

It is worth noting that there are 98 wastewater treatment plants in the country distributed in all cities and regions of the country. The amount of treated water reached 736 million cubic meters, 74% of which was reused in cosmetic agriculture and the industrial sector.
