This is reflected in the decree of the Community of Madrid, which states that "in the case of cafes, bars and restaurants, they will remain closed to the public, being able to exclusively provide home delivery services or for pick-up at the premises and consumption upon delivery."
Deliveroo sources explain that, in addition, a special tab has been enabled in the application to collect the order without contacting the dealer. In this way, he will leave the package at the door of the customer's home.
This exception will partially alleviate the economic impact that this prohibition will have on the hospitality sector, since it will allow them to partially maintain the activity. In recent weeks, demand has fallen 15% on average in Spain, reaching decreases of 40% in Madrid, according to data from Hospitality of Spain.
