Bill Gates retires Microsoft director March 14, 06:54

Microsoft, a major U.S. IT company, has announced on Tuesday that its founder, Bill Gates, has retired from the board. The reason is that Gates will spend more time on education issues in developing countries and on climate change measures that he has been working on for many years.

Gates says he will continue to be a technical advisor to Microsoft's CEO, including Satya Nadella, after leaving the board.
