The trading was automatically stopped at around 10:35 pm JST on the 12th of Japan time as the decline rate of the major stock indices exceeded 7% compared to the previous day.
The suspension time is 15 minutes.
This action has been taken since 9th of this week.
Mr. Trump's speech yesterday said that the economic measures against the spread of the new coronavirus were not enough, and that measures to suspend entry from Europe severely restricted the movement of people. There is a surge of sell orders that could have serious consequences.
