Statistics Center in Abu Dhabi stated yesterday that Saudi Arabia topped the list of the largest trading partners of the emirate during the past year, with a total of 55 billion and 271 million dirhams, including commodity exports worth 25 billion and 757 million dirhams, re-exported goods with 17 billion and 351 million dirhams, and imports worth 12 billion And 163 million dirhams.

The Center stated in a report issued by the Center on Abu Dhabi's foreign trade in 2019, that the value of non-oil foreign trade through the ports of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi amounted to 213.2 billion dirhams during the past year, which included 102.5 billion dirhams in imports, 57.9 billion dirhams in non-oil exports, and 52.8 billion Dirham value for re-export.

The report added that these statistics include the value of non-oil merchandise trade that entered the sea, land and air ports of the emirate or exited it, that is, it does not include all Abu Dhabi trade with the outside world.

According to Abu Dhabi Statistics, industrial supplies accounted for the largest share of merchandise exports during the past year, with a total of 45 billion dirhams, followed by food and beverages with a value exceeding six billion dirhams, and consumer goods with a total of 3.4 billion dirhams.

With regard to re-exporting, transportation equipment, parts and accessories came first with a total of 24.1 billion dirhams, followed by consumer goods with a value of 10.1 billion dirhams, then productive goods except transport equipment with a total of 9.8 billion dirhams.

As for imports, industrial supplies accounted for the largest share by about 43 billion dirhams, then transport equipment, parts and accessories totaling 24.6 billion dirhams, followed by productive goods except transport equipment with a value of 16.1 billion dirhams.
