Dubai Economic announced the ban on shisha delivery in licensed cafes in the emirate for a period of two weeks, starting today, Thursday 12 March.
A responsible source in Dubai’s economy said that within the framework of the precautionary measures aimed at achieving the highest levels of health and safety for the community, the Dubai Economic and Dubai Municipality directed all hookah cafes licensed in the emirate to refrain from providing shisha in its facilities immediately, for a period of two weeks, starting today, Thursday 12 March. The source indicated to "Emirates Today" that inspection campaigns will be implemented to verify compliance with this circular, as a team of inspectors of the department implement organized campaigns to ensure implementation of the decision and increase the awareness of cafes owners of the decision.
