China News Agency, Beijing, March 6th (Reporter Wang Enbo) Codywa Agricultural Technology announced on the 6th a survey of a new generation of farmers and consumers worldwide. The results show that respondents from different markets have expressed concerns about the future development of food production and agriculture.

The study was commissioned by Kantar, a data, insights and consulting agency commissioned by Cody, in the United States, Brazil, China, France and Russia. In this study, a new generation of farmers refers to 16-38-year-old farm production operators, and a new generation of consumers refers to 16-38-year-old non-agricultural related personnel. More than 3,000 survey participants participated.

In terms of the future food production situation, 73% of the surveyed farmers and 89% of the consumers are worried that there will not be enough food in the world to meet human nutrition needs by 2040; 90% or more of farmers and consumers agree that Everyone needs to make concessions to ensure the sustainability of future food production.

The outlook for global agricultural development has also raised concerns among respondents. 81% of farmers and 80% of consumers believe that it will be difficult to make a living in agriculture in the future; 90% of respondents agree that innovative technologies and solutions must be used to meet the current food production and agricultural challenges.

It is worth noting that 95% of farmers and 97% of consumers believe that the global climate is undergoing drastic changes and will have a negative impact on global food production and supply in the next 20 years; but among the new generation of American farmers and consumers, only Less than half hold this view.

At the same time, more than 90% of farmers and consumers said they did not want to choose between environmental protection and food production, and believed that they should join hands to change agricultural development and consumption patterns and reduce the impact on the climate and environment.

According to Dana Bolden, senior vice president of external affairs and sustainable development of Codywa Agricultural Technology, farmers and consumers are often regarded as two opposing parties in the global food production system, but this study reveals another picture. The new generation of farmers and consumers not only look forward to consensus, but also look for ways to cope with the challenges of food production and the future development of agriculture.
