The spread of the new coronavirus is affecting the labor negotiations of the spring fight, which is nearing its end.

Five executives gathered at the NTT headquarters meeting room in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and faced a monitor of a labor union in a meeting room of another building through a monitor.
The NTT union has demanded that all employees, including non-regular employees, raise their annual income by about 2% during the spring fight, and has urged them to raise wages again on the 5th.
In response, the management responded, "I understand the importance of employee motivation. I want to discuss what can be done with labor and management."
The company will respond to the union on the 12th of next week and will continue to use web conferencing as circumstances warrant.
"I was able to negotiate without discomfort, but I also felt that it was difficult to create an atmosphere of intense discussion with each other," said NTT Director Eiichi Sakamoto.
This spring fight has been affected by the spread of the new coronavirus, including the suspension of the largest rally scheduled by the Alliance on March 3.
