The opening was attended by General Director of the General Department of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Mohammed Al-Marri, and Deputy Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Obaid Muhair bin Surur, and the Director of the General Directorate of Airport Security, Brigadier Mohammed bin Dylan, and Assistant General Manager For operations in the General Directorate of Airport Security, Brigadier Hamouda Mohammed Al-Amri, Executive Director of the Dubai Ambulance Services Corporation, Khalifa Bin Dray, and a number of senior officials in the departments operating in Dubai airports.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed visited the center and reviewed an explanation about the importance of the center, its crucial role in promoting joint decision-making among representatives of the concerned authorities, and following up the most accurate details of work around the clock to manage the largest airport in the world by numbers of international travelers.

The area of ​​the center reaches 75 thousand square feet, and its tasks are to process and consolidate the information received from more than seven million data points, by feeding a set of predictive management applications, designed with special specifications to share this information in real time, with thousands of employees at the level of various airport departments , In order to help manage every point of contact with customers.

The center employs more than 100 employees of Dubai airport operations, 35 employees working during peak shifts, in addition to more than 60 data entry employees, in addition to representatives from Emirates Airlines, Dubai Police, Dubai Ambulance Services Corporation and Taxi Corporation Dubai, and if necessary, the National Meteorological Center.

The center will witness, during the current year, more representatives from the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, the "Serco" group, and the "Expo 2020 Dubai", in addition to more service partners expected to join in the future.

Teams at the Airport Operations Control Center focus their efforts on managing the airport's entire operations, cooperating with partners, invoking the principle of collective decision-making, and sharing information, to conduct a safe, accurate and effective operation, that provides a customer service experience without errors.

The center succeeded in possessing the ability to manage airport operations, with attention to the smallest details, which made some amazing improvements to the service, including reducing passenger waiting times by 15%.

"The control center is the lifeblood of the airport's operation. It gives us the ability to precisely manage every small and large thing, and this is critical to the growth and increase of the efficiency of services at the entire airport, now and in the future," said Dubai Airport Chief Executive Officer Paul Griffiths.
