Bureau of Statistics: GDP in 2019 is 998.6 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1% over the previous year

According to the website of the National Bureau of Statistics, the Bureau of Statistics released the Communiqué on the National Economic and Social Development of 2019 on the 28th. According to preliminary calculations, the gross domestic product of the year was 99,068.6 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1% over the previous year.

Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 70467 billion yuan, an increase of 3.1%; the added value of the secondary industry was 3,866.5 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7%; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 5,342.3 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9%. The added value of the primary industry accounted for 7.1% of GDP, the added value of the secondary industry was 39.0%, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 53.9%. The contribution rate of final consumption expenditure to GDP growth for the year was 57.8%, the contribution rate of total capital formation was 31.2%, and the contribution rate of net exports of goods and services was 11.0%. The per capita GDP was 70,892 yuan, an increase of 5.7% over the previous year. The gross national income was 988.5845 billion yuan, an increase of 6.2% over the previous year. The national energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP decreased by 2.6% over the previous year. The total labor productivity was 115,009 yuan / person, an increase of 6.2% over the previous year.

At the end of the year, the total population of mainland China was 1.4005 million, an increase of 4.67 million from the end of the previous year, of which the urban resident population was 84.843 million, accounting for 60.60% of the total population (the resident population urbanization rate), an increase of 1.02 percentage points from the end of the previous year. The urbanization rate of the registered population is 44.38%, an increase of 1.01 percentage points from the end of the previous year. In the whole year, the number of births was 14.65 million, with a birth rate of 10.48 ‰; the number of deaths was 9.98 million, with a mortality rate of 7.14 ‰; the natural growth rate was 3.34 ‰. There were 280 million people separated from households in the country, of which 236 million were migrants.

At the end of the year, there were 774.71 million employed people in the country, of which 424.47 million were employed in cities and towns, accounting for 57.1% of the nation's employed people, an increase of 1.1 percentage points from the end of the previous year. 13.52 million new jobs were created in cities and towns throughout the year, 90,000 fewer than the previous year. At the end of the year, the national urban unemployment rate was 5.2%, and the urban registered unemployment rate was 3.6%. The total number of peasant workers nationwide was 297.77 million, an increase of 0.8% over the previous year. Among them, 17.425 million were migrant workers, an increase of 0.9%; 116.52 million local migrant workers, an increase of 0.7%.

The consumer price for the whole year increased by 2.9% over the previous year. Ex-factory prices of industrial producers fell by 0.3%. The purchase price of industrial producers fell by 0.7%. The price of investment in fixed assets rose by 2.6%. Producer prices for agricultural products rose by 14.5%. In December, the number of cities in which the sales price of newly-built commercial housing in 70 large and medium-sized cities increased year-on-year was 68, and the number decreased by 2.

At the end of the year, the state's foreign exchange reserves were US $ 317.9 billion, an increase of US $ 35.2 billion over the end of the previous year. The average RMB exchange rate for the whole year was RMB 6.8985 per dollar, a depreciation of 4.1% over the previous year.

The Statistical Bulletin states that in 2019, supply-side structural reforms will continue to deepen. The national industrial capacity utilization rate was 76.6% throughout the year, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the previous year. Among them, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry capacity utilization rate was 80.0%, an increase of 2.0 percentage points; the coal mining and washing industry capacity utilization rate was 70.6%, unchanged from the previous year. At the end of the year, the floor space of commercial buildings for sale was 49.82 million square meters, a decrease of 25.93 million square meters from the end of the previous year. Among them, the floor space of commercial houses for sale was 224.73 million square meters, a decrease of 26.18 million square meters. At the end of the year, the asset-liability ratio of industrial enterprises above designated size was 56.6%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage point from the end of the previous year. The investment in fixed assets (excluding peasant households) in education, ecological protection, and environmental governance increased by 17.7% and 37.2% over the previous year, respectively. The reform of "decentralized service" continued to deepen, and the vitality of micro-subjects continued to increase. The number of newly registered market entities in the year was 23.77 million, and the average daily number of newly registered enterprises was 20,000. At the end of the year, the total number of market entities reached 120 million. The tax and fee reductions for the year exceeded 2.3 trillion yuan.

New kinetic energy maintained rapid development. Among the industries above designated size throughout the year, the value added of strategic emerging industries increased by 8.4% over the previous year. The added value of high-tech manufacturing increased by 8.8%, accounting for 14.4% of the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size. The value added of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 6.7%, accounting for 32.5% of the value added of the industrial enterprises above designated size. Among the service industries above designated size in the whole year, the operating income of strategic emerging service enterprises increased by 12.7% over the previous year. The investment in high-tech industries increased by 17.3% over the previous year, and the investment in industrial technological transformation increased by 9.8%. The annual output of service robots was 3.46 million sets, an increase of 38.9% over the previous year. The online retail sales for the whole year were 10.62324 trillion yuan, which was 16.5% higher than the previous year in terms of comparable caliber.

Regional coordinated development has made solid progress. In terms of different regions, the annual GDP of the eastern region was 51,161,100 million yuan, an increase of 6.2% over the previous year; the central region ’s GDP was 21,873.8 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3%; the western region ’s GDP was 20,551.8 billion yuan, an increase of 6.7%; the northeast region The GDP was 5,024.9 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5%. In the whole year, the GDP of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area was 845.8 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1% over the previous year; the GDP of the Yangtze River Economic Zone was 457805 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9%; the GDP of the Yangtze River Delta region was 23.73253 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.4%.

Efforts to combat poverty have been effective. Based on the rural poverty standard of 2300 yuan per person per year (2010 constant price), the rural poor population at the end of the year was 5.51 million, a decrease of 11.09 million from the end of the previous year; the incidence of poverty was 0.6%, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points from the previous year. The per capita disposable income of rural residents in poverty-stricken areas throughout the year was 11,567 yuan, an increase of 11.5% over the previous year. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 8.0%.
