Japanese Health Minister Katsunobu Kato said that more passengers who got off the "Diamond Princess" cruise ship were starting to show symptoms like fever.
The total number of passengers who present with symptoms is now 45, according to the Japanese Radio and Television Corporation "NHK" on Wednesday.
Kato was speaking at the House of Representatives Budget Committee meeting today, Wednesday. He added that his ministry is in contact with 813 former passengers. Kato added that the number of people who showed symptoms increased from a total of 28 on Tuesday.
The minister said he had all been asked to see doctors in medical institutions. He also continued that he had issued a notice last night, asking them to take a series of tests, if their doctors recommended it.
