China News Agency, Beijing, February 26 (Liu Liang Zhouyin) Recently, many netizens have reported that the price of air tickets from Seoul, South Korea to Qingdao, Shandong, China has skyrocketed, and even one ticket is hard to find. The reporter learned on the 26th from Ctrip.com and Qunar.com that the fares of air tickets have dropped, and the fares have been trending downward recently.

According to the Ctrip.com flight booking on February 25, there were only four tickets left from Seoul to Qingdao, which required two transfers, and the price was as high as 11,182 yuan (RMB, the same below). The price has increased significantly compared to that. During the same period, there were multiple flights from Qingdao to Seoul, with fares ranging from 882 yuan to 2804 yuan.

The reporter learned from Ctrip.com and Qunar.com on the 26th that the air ticket booking platform has dropped. According to the two ticket booking websites, the lowest fare for a non-stop flight from Qingdao to Qingdao on the 26th is about 2,000 yuan, with the remaining tickets showing sufficient.

Ctrip ticket data shows that from February 15 to February 24 this year, South Korea's air ticket booking volume and order trips continued to increase. In particular, the booking volume on February 24 increased by nearly 60% from the previous day, and the number of travellers increased by more than 50%. Compared with February 15, bookings have increased by about 1.5 times, and the number of trips has more than doubled.

Senior civil aviation expert Li Xiaojin said that the rise in air ticket prices was affected by supply and demand. From the demand side, Qingdao and South Korea not only have a straight line, but also have close trade relations. Many Korean companies have set up wholly-owned or joint ventures in Qingdao. At present, South Korean companies are seeing that the epidemic situation of Qingdao New Crown Pneumonia is basically under control, and South Korea is in the epidemic spread stage. In order to resume work and production in a hurry, while avoiding the epidemic, some people will choose to come to China.

On the supply side, Li Xiaojin said that some classes had been reduced by over 60% some time ago, and now even the number of recovery is limited. Therefore, faced with a large demand for limited flights, fares will increase, and then they will decline steadily as the number of flights increases.

In the near term, there is a downward trend in ticket prices. According to Ctrip.com, from February 27th to March 5th, the one-way ticket prices for nonstop flights from Qingdao to Qingdao are displayed below 2,000 yuan. From March 6th to March 8th, the air ticket price is shown at around 1,000 yuan, and from March 9 the fare is basically stable at around 690 yuan.

Relevant personnel of Qunar.com said that the epidemic situation has not ended and the price will continue to rise and fall. (Finish)
