The English Court has reached an agreement with the Intercentros Committee by which it will distribute the salary of the employees in 14 payments instead of the 16 in which the payrolls were traditionally distributed, as reported on Tuesday by the distribution giant, who He has specified that this agreement will enter into force next March.

The company, which adopts this decision in response to the request that the Intercentros Committee requested on February 13, has the support of the CCOO, Fasga, Fetico and UGT unions.

The English Court has indicated that the argument put forward by the workers' representatives is to increase the monthly purchasing power of all employees.

In this way, the workers of the El Corte Inglés Group will see their monthly payroll increase as two of the extra payments will be prorated (those of April and October), going to receive 14 instead of the traditional 16 of the group.

The English Court has stressed that the decision now adopted will be aligned with most distribution companies whose employees receive their annual salary distributed in twelve * monthly payments plus extra summer and Christmas payments. *

In the joint meeting held on Tuesday with the Intercentros Committee, the company has agreed to this request * which implies the maintenance of the annual economic amount received by the employees, although distributed in 14 payrolls.

This will mean an increase in the amount of monthly payrolls, excluding the two usual summer and Christmas payments that will remain as of today.
