The Ministry of Economy revealed that it has agreed with sales outlets and cooperative societies in Abu Dhabi to launch an initiative that includes reducing the prices of goods used in the Ramadan season by rates ranging from 50 to 90% depending on the quality of the commodity and its importance to consumers in the country while providing outlets and associations in support of these goods at the time to create A type of competition between outlets in the state markets

In a press statement after the meeting with the sales outlets and major cooperative societies in Abu Dhabi today, the Ministry clarified that it demanded the sales outlets to increase the number of price detector devices before the next Ramadan, to obey the consumers ’comments, listen to their demands and complaints, and resolve them directly and quickly to increase confidence between the two sides, and also called for activating the existence initiative Counter to oversee payment funds in the event of crowding, especially during peak times in Ramadan, to reduce crowding and facilitate consumers' access to needs easily and conveniently.

The ministry noted that the outlets pledged to provide all the basic commodities needed by the consumer during the Ramadan season and prepare early for the supply from various and various markets in order to avoid any shortage and in order to obtain the best supply prices.
