Gasoline 151.1 yen Price rise for 10 consecutive weeks 15:40 on January 16 against the background of the Middle East situation

The retail price of regular gasoline for the week rose to ¥ 151.1 per liter for the tenth consecutive week, reflecting the tensions in the Middle East.

According to the Petroleum Information Center, which surveys gasoline prices on behalf of the government, the national average retail price of regular gasoline as of the 14th was 151.1 yen per liter, up 1 yen from the previous week.

This is the highest level since December and has risen for the 10th consecutive week.

The rise in gasoline prices was due to a sharp rise in oil prices earlier this month due to heightened tensions in the Middle East due to the conflict between the United States and Iran.

After that, crude oil prices have fallen somewhat in the light of tensions in the Middle East, but it will take about 10 days before they are reflected in gasoline retail prices. We expect it to continue.
