According to information from La Provence , the shipping company Corsica Linea has decided to cancel its scheduled crossings between Marseille and Algiers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Indeed, the CGT National Federation of Ports and Docks called on Monday to "continue the fight" with a new operation "dead ports" on Tuesday to protest against the pension reform, which the union requests the withdrawal.
The workers of the ports and the docks do not have a specific regime but a hardship agreement related to the collective agreement of their branch and which allows them to leave two or three years before the legal age of departure.
Port workers and dockers stopped work and installed pickets several times on December 5, 10, 12, 17 and then January 9, 10 and 11, following inter-professional mobilizations.
